Delegates and alternates must be present in person in order to be seated and participate in the convention, but it often helps. Proxies are not permitted.

It is not required that an individual be present to be elected to serve as a Delegate/Alternate to a higher-level convention.  Please follow the instructions in the applicable Call for Nominations to express your interest in being a candidate in advance of the convention.
